Welcome to the 5 Mountains Lodge & Spa blog! Being a blog 'virgin' this all seems a little intimidating! Please bear with me!
It's a beautiful summer's day today. The sun is shining and the pool is blue and crystal clear. Thankfully it's not the level of heat that Wellington (also usually referred to as 'Hellington' at this time of year) has been used to getting.
I'm writing this listening to the hustle and bustle of our 5 lovely spa therapists taking care of the needs of the group of 5 ladies we have in today. Lunch is about to be served prior to an afternoon of more pampering and relaxing by our pool.
This is a time where I feel truly envious of all our clients who are able to sit back and unwind on our wrap-around stoep or in our light, airy dining room overlooking the pool and the garden. This really is a haven for all our clients as we are such a small and intimate venue. You never feel that you are being rushed through your day or are just a number being processed. In fact, when we have bigger groups (maximum 8 clients) in for a day, they could be the only people they will see.
Today, apart from our group of 5 lovely ladies, we also will be spoiling our local clients, here to take advantage of some of our summer specials. We're offering a full body exfoliate and moisturise and a pedicure for R220! Perfect treatments for being 'body beautiful' on these hot summer days at a perfect price!
Our clients also have the opportunity to sample our own 5 Mountains Chenin (made from our own grapes by renowned female winemaker, Corlea Fourie from the local Bosman's wine cellar), which received 3 stars in the 2012 John Platter Guide this year! At R20 a bottle, what could be more pleasant than quaffing a chilled glass of wine, letting your cares melt away as you survey the beautiful garden and the vineyards and mountains beyond.

Thanks! Yes, there's still a few glitches that I'm trying to get ironed out....
